Kelena nesma3 3an el msa7er laken ashek ena 7ad feena chafah .. Ana kel youm elsa3a 2 el fayer asem3eh lakeni mal7ag 3alaih o elyoum legaitah 3ala el youtube :P
el msa7er usually walks really fast because in olden days there was no such thing as alarm clocks and his job was to wake the whole "Fereej" up and some times more than one "fereej"
He walks around singing ...
Children follow him and sing along and sometimes grown ups too
I've been hearing him since i was young but for some reason I get really excited every time I hear him coming lol and every time with my camera
Another tradition that I love is El weda3 .. This I never heard any other country that holds such tradition accept recently a friend of mine told me that Iraq has it as well. Many say its a bed3a and they are against us going out in a maseera singing farewell to ramadhan and welcoming 3eed. But I would never want this tradition to end. It make us feel like we are all in this together .. One family .. 3ala galb wa7ed .. It makes me cry every time we join a maseera. And of course every fereej has their own maseera.
